These Academy Terms form part of the CouthActs Terms of Service and apply to CouthActs Academy, operated by CouthActs Incorporated ("CouthActs"). Capitalized words not defined here have the meanings in the Terms.
1. Courses and Purchase
1.1 Courses. CouthActs Academy offers online courses for transport professionals and Users. Course content, prices, lesson counts and estimated durations are shown on each course page. The first lesson of a course may be offered as a free preview.
1.2 Payment. Courses are paid for from your Wallet at the price shown when you enroll. Enrollment gives you access to the course for as long as CouthActs offers it.
1.3 Refunds. You may ask for a refund within fourteen (14) days after enrollment by emailing support@couthacts.com, provided you have not opened any lesson beyond the free preview or attempted the exam. Refunds are credited to your Wallet. After that, course fees are not refundable, except where CouthActs withdraws a course before you complete it or where the law requires. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, by opening a paid lesson you request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to withdraw from the purchase.
2. Exams and Certificates
2.1 Exams. Each course has a final exam with a pass mark of 70%. You may retake an exam, but after your second attempt a twenty-four (24) hour wait applies before each further attempt. You must take exams yourself without assistance from another person or tool that the exam does not allow.
2.2 Certificates. If you pass, CouthActs issues a certificate with a unique ID. Anyone with the ID can view the certificate page, which shows your name, the course, your score and the date.
2.3 What a certificate means. A COUTHACTS ACADEMY CERTIFICATE SHOWS ONLY THAT YOU PASSED A COUTHACTS COURSE EXAM. IT IS NOT A GOVERNMENT LICENSE, PERMIT, REGULATORY CERTIFICATION OR PROOF OF TRAINING REQUIRED BY LAW (FOR EXAMPLE, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TRAINING UNDER 49 C.F.R. PART 172 SUBPART H), AND IT DOES NOT QUALIFY ANYONE TO PERFORM REGULATED WORK. Certificates do not currently affect your CouthActs Score.
2.4 Revocation. CouthActs may revoke a certificate obtained by cheating, impersonation or other breach of these terms.
3. Content and Conduct
3.1 License. CouthActs grants you a personal, non-transferable license to view course content for your own learning. You may not copy, record, share, sell or publish course content or exam questions.
3.2 Accuracy. Course content is general information, not legal, regulatory or safety advice for your situation. Laws and regulations change; always follow current law and the requirements of your regulators and insurers.
